I just realized today that President Nelson’s 94th birthday quietly came and went 8 days ago. Saturday he was up in Seattle speaking to 49,000 people at a devotional on a baseball field. In his talk he said, “I have been reflecting on things I have learned during these many decades on this earth…If I have learned anything in my life, it is that our ultimate security and our only enduring happiness lies in holding on to the iron rod of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, complete with its covenants and ordinances…if you will prayerfully read from the Book of Mormon each day, you will be immunized against the evils of the day and be drawn closer to the Lord.” I believe he said something quite similar in his conference talk a year ago. What a promise! Do you trust President Nelson? He is a doctor… AND A PROPHET OF GOD! I know how hard it is taking a doctor’s orders, but this advice could be the difference for us between life and death…eternal life and spiritual death. The seasons are changing, lets all make sure our “immunization” is up to date.

AuthorThis blog is inspired by The Life of Our Lord, by Charles Dickens. Dickens hoped to teach his children about religion and faith. It starts, "My Dear Children, I am very anxious that you should know something about the History of Jesus Christ. For everybody ought to know about Him..." Archives
